{"id":4290,"date":"2013-10-02T00:14:10","date_gmt":"2013-10-02T00:14:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wsvn.vip.10uplabs.com\/split-vs-marlins-leaves-nats-5-back-with-6-left\/"},"modified":"2013-10-02T00:14:10","modified_gmt":"2013-10-02T00:14:10","slug":"split-vs-marlins-leaves-nats-5-back-with-6-left","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wsvn.com\/sports\/split-vs-marlins-leaves-nats-5-back-with-6-left\/","title":{"rendered":"Split vs Marlins leaves Nats 5 back with 6 left"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>By HARVEY VALENTINE<br \/>Associated Press                  <\/p>\n<p>WASHINGTON (AP) &#8211; Wilson Ramos&#8217; ninth-inning grounder bounced off a leg of third baseman Chris Coghlan for a game-ending error that allowed pinch-runner Eury Perez to score from third, and Washington beat the Miami Marlins 5-4 Sunday night for a doubleheader split that left the Nationals five games back in the NL wild-card race with six games left.<\/p>\n<p>Giancarlo Stanton and Christian Yelich homered as Miami won the opener 4-2.<\/p>\n<p>The Nationals honored retiring manager Davey Johnson with a 15-minute pregame ceremony before the first game.<\/p>\n<p>Rafael Soriano (3-3) pitched a scoreless ninth inning to win Washington&#8217;s regular-season home finale, and Denard Span drove in three runs.<\/p>\n<p>Jayson Werth off Sam Dyson (0-2) leading off the ninth, and Perez pinch ran and stole third with one out.<\/p>\n<p>Coming back from right forearm tightness, Stephen Strasburg allowed three runs and six hits in six innings and left with a 4-3 lead.
